I had already fixed the round 200 post links to colourlovers, and it worked for a day, but apparently then they realized they don't want people hotlinking their images after all and restricted cross-site access. Back to the drawing board.

I have already made a fix for new challenge posts, but the old ones need to be updated one by one, so it will take a while. :/

Our poll otoh had pretty clear results: the vast majority wants to stick with 5 colors, there were also votes for 3, 4, and 6, and one for 10 or more. Then there was the suggestion of doing vastly different numbers for bonus rounds or "once in a while". I'll do my best to heed everyone's wishes. Thank you so much for your participation!

With that, I'll close the poll and make a completely new suggestion post.

First things first: Thank you all for participating in the amnesty round and playing our amnesty game together! You rock! <3

Of course, colourlovers has decided to completely revamp their site this month, so all palette images stopped working today, for good.

I will have to change every single palette image link to a new format, and I will do that as soon as I get around to it. The links still work, so you can click through to colourlovers to see the palette colors. Of course all our newer challenge posts also have the palette colors directly accessible in the post, so you can always use that in the meantime.

Another novelty is that colourlovers now allows more than five colors per palette. What do you think about that? Do you like that or not? Here's a poll (sorry I had to redo it):

Previously, colourlovers also allowed fewer than five colors, but we've only had two palettes in our 200 so far that had four colors, all the others had five (because I chose them that way). Having more colors makes the challenge less challenging, imho, but I'm open to it if you want to try it. Depending on the result of this poll, I will add a rule to the comm for the number of colors allowed in the suggested palettes.

Here comes another amnesty round! Oh, wow, and it's a round number! Thank you so much to everyone who has participated in any of our previous rounds! You make this community fun to run!

This amnesty round is going to last for 4 weeks. This means the deadline for this round is on Sunday October 4th at 11:59 EDT/EST! (countdown)

Amnesty Rules:

You can post icons for any of the previous color palettes.

Aside from the longer time span, the only other rule for amnesty challenges is that you are allowed to post as many icons as you like. You can do the normal 3 or you can post 333 if you find yourself inspired! You can either do separate posts for every palette or you can put several - or all of them - into one big post, it's up to you. If you do make more than 3, please post them behind a cut.

Please tag your posts with the original round number as well as "round: 200", and either copy the palette code or mention the palette name in your post. I know most of you've done this before, so I hope the rules are clear. If not, feel free to ask!

Amnesty Game: (optional)

It's almost become a tradition already: we're playing the amnesty game again!

If you can't decide which palettes to tackle, leave a comment on this post and ask for a number of palettes.

Anyone can reply and choose palettes for you. (If nobody does, I can choose for you. I'll give it until the weekend before I jump in.) You can agree to reciprocate/choose for each other, or just choose for someone and leave a request comment for the next person. There is absolutely no pressure/requirement attached to this game. If you run out of time/muse or the palettes simply don't speak to you, there are no negative consequences. Just see it as another source of inspiration! The game is entirely optional.
