This week's challenge comes from a suggestion from
magicrubbish! And as it is the week of the 4th here in the U.S., I thought it very fitting. Remember, you can (and are encouraged to!) always suggest color palettes to use HERE in the suggestion post! Also, some quick housekeeping things!
- I've decided to start closing the rounds on Sundays instead of Saturdays. It's easier for me and it gives you an extra day to submit your icons! A new challenge post will still go up at sometime on Sundays but don't worry if you haven't submitted your icons when the new post goes up. You still have until 11:59 EST to submit your icons for the week's challenge!
- I'll try my best to get a challenge posted next week on Sunday but the post might not go up until Monday (the 8th) as the 7th is my birthday. Don't fret if you go looking for the challenge post next Sunday and isn't up yet.
- I've decided to start posting a little reminder during the week to well, remind, you about the challenge! I am planning on posting the reminder on Wednesday but let me know if you'd rather have a reminder on a different day, or if you'd like to have more than one reminder per week!
-create 1-3 icons using the colors in the palettes.
-you do not have to use the exact colors, you can use similar colors, but using the exact shades makes it more fun/challenging.
-any and all fandoms are allowed (this includes stock).
-icons should be 100x100, 60kb or less.
-post your icons to the community as a new post. tag with round: ##, maker: username. an example post can be found here in the rules post.
-have fun!

Date: 2019-07-17 09:57 pm (UTC)I don't think I need to be admin for that - the only thing I'd like to be able to do is add tags to everyone's posts (so I can later more easily find all the posts that belong to one palette). If I need to be admin for that, then... I guess yes? But if that works without admin rights, I don't need them.
I'll get on it as soon as I have some time. (July is full of RL commitments and I have way less time than I expected. But it'll be over soon. :))

The only "problem" is that it's not possible to backdate posts in communities, so I'm just going to stick to the order of the rounds and space them out a bit, so people don't get flooded with them.
On the technical side: I made some b/w headers and fiddled with css so I can make the header look like the right palette (which... could be easier but I don't know how yet). I used randimg.net, which loads a random b/w header to place over the palette. This way, I don't have to upload a new image for every round, just change the hex codes for the colors.
